Steelers RB Jaylen Warren ‘Expects’ to Play vs. Falcons

Warren‘s effective healing replace may want to have seemingly even affected the Steelers’ choice to maintain simply 3 walking backs on their fifty three-guy roster.

Najee Harris, Cordarrelle Patterson, and Warren are the handiest backs on the Steelers’ roster, suggesting in addition they plan on having their former undrafted unfastened agent available.

Warren being ready to head for Week 1 would be an obvious improvement for a Steelers offense that, under the steerage of offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, is projected to function its run game heavily.
Harris and Warren were combined for 1,819 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns, a bright spot in an offense that finished near the bottom in many statistical categories last season

With Smith now in control, they will hope to complement a passing game that veteran quarterback Russell Wilson will spearhead.

The Pittsburgh Steelers received bad news on Tuesday, losing rookie defensive back Ryan Watts to a season-ending injury. However, they got good news recently. After missing their preseason finale loss to the Detroit Lions, Steelers star running back Jaylen Warren has indicated that he is making strides toward being ready for the team’s Week 1 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

As Penn Live’s Nick Farabaugh shared on Twitter, Warren told the media Wednesday that he expects to play in Week

“Jaylen Warren says his hamstring is feeling much better. He expects to play Week 1 against the Falcons,” Farabaugh wrote about Warren’s comments.

It is somewhat unexpected good news as when Warren exited the Steelers’ second preseason game versus the Bills, they initially feared he’d miss the season-opener. However, after being sidelined, he feels better enough to indicate he expects to be available.
